Aaronda Q. Beauford

Aaronda Q. Beauford is the Director of Communications at Upper Darby School District. Aaronda has held this position since June 2014.

Prior to their current role, Beauford served as the Principal/Turn-Around Administrator at The School District of Philadelphia from January 2010 to June 2014. In this role, they were responsible for leading a school through a period of significant change and improvement.

Before their time in Philadelphia, Beauford was a Principal at an Educational Organization in Chester, PA from January 2005 to December 2009. During their time as Principal, they oversaw the design, development, and alignment of K-12 standards-based Social Studies, Theirtory, and Writing curricula, assessment, and instructional methodologies.

Beauford began their career as a teacher in Louisiana in January 1993 and taught until December 1999 when they became a Lead Teacher in Wilmington, DE. As Lead Teacher, they provided support to teachers in instruction, climate & culture. Aaronda also served as the Writing Curriculum Coordinator and Social Studies Curriculum Coordinator where they supported the Principal and other school district personnel.

Aaronda Q. Beauford reports to Daniel P. McGarry, Superintendent. They are on a team with Craig Rogers - CFO, Brian Ursone - Director of Pupil Services, and Robert Hilinski - Director of Technology.
