Bill Hwang

Bill Hwang is a seasoned scientist with extensive experience in biochemistry and molecular biology, currently serving as a Senior Scientist at UPSIDE Foods since December 2022. Previously, Bill held the position of Scientist III at Zymergen, Inc. from January 2018 to September 2022, and worked as a Scientist at Radiant Genomics between December 2013 and December 2017. Bill's academic background includes a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco from August 2009 to April 2014, and a PhD in Biochemistry from the same institution, completed in 2009. Bill's foundational education includes a Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Dartmouth College, earned in 1999.
