Jayanthi Lakkyreddy

Jayanthi Lakkyreddy has extensive work experience in the field of biotechnology. jayanthi is currently the Director of Process Sciences at UPSIDE Foods. Prior to that, they worked as a Principal Scientist (Cell Culture Media) at UPSIDE Foods.

Before joining UPSIDE Foods, Jayanthi held various roles at Genentech, starting as a Junior Research Associate and working their way up to a Technical Development Scientist. jayanthi also worked as a Research Associate at MedImmune Vaccines, where they played a key role in the development of manufacturing processes for subunit vaccines.

Earlier in their career, Jayanthi worked as a Research Associate at Trinity Biosystems, where they specialized in upstream process development and production of recombinant peptides. jayanthi also gained research experience as a Trainee at the University of California San Francisco and as a Junior Research Fellow at the Institute for Nuclear Medicine and Allied Sciences.

Jayanthi started their professional journey as a Student at San Jose State University and also completed a CO-OP/Internship in Cell Culture Process Development at Genentech. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated expertise in process optimization, clone selection, and manufacturing process development for biologics.

Jayanthi Lakkyreddy received their MA in Biological Sciences from San Jose State University, where they studied from 2007 to 2009.
