Robert Kiss

Robert Kiss has extensive work experience in the biopharmaceutical industry. Robert currently holds the position of Executive Vice President, Technical Operations at UPSIDE Foods since October 2021. Prior to that, they served as Vice President, Process & Analytical Development at Sutro Biopharma, Inc. from September 2017 to October 2021. Before joining Sutro Biopharma, Robert worked at Genentech for 24 years, where they held the role of Sr Director and Distinguished Engineer, Process R&D. Robert has also worked at Abgenix as Director, Process Sciences - Cell Culture for a brief period in 2003 and at IDEC Pharmaceuticals as a Scientist from November 1991 to April 1993. Additionally, they gained engineering experience at Lockheed Missiles and Space from 1984 to 1985.

Robert Kiss received a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Davis, from 1980 to 1984. Robert then pursued further education at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where they obtained an M.S. and Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from 1986 to 1991. Prior to these higher education degrees, they attended Willow Glen High School, although the specific years are not provided.
