Steven Bates

Steven Bates has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Steven started their career as a Lead Systems Programmer at Eckerd in 1985 and stayed with the company until 1993. Steven then joined IBM Global Services and held multiple roles, including Lead Systems Management Specialist and Technical Services Manager - Continuous Systems, until 1998. In 1998, they transitioned to S2 Systems as a Senior Technical Consultant for a few months before joining RITE AID. At RITE AID, they served as a Technical Services Manager from 1998 to 2005, and later became the Senior Manager of Information Security until 2017. Finally, in 2017, they joined Upstream Rehabilitation as the Director of Information Security.

Steven Bates has a degree in Management Information Systems (MIS) from the University of South Florida. Steven also holds additional certifications including CDPSE, CISA, CISM, CISSP, and HCISPP from institutions such as ISACA and (ISC)².
