Spencer Barr

Spencer Barr, M.A., P.P.S., currently serves as a College & Career Readiness Specialist at Santa Barbara High School since July 2023 and has been a College Counselor at Upward Path Institute since June 2016, focusing on helping underserved, often first-generation students in the greater Bay Area. Previously, Spencer held positions including College & Career Readiness Specialist at Dos Pueblos Senior High School, Career Technical Education Site Coordinator for Santa Barbara Unified School District, and the first dedicated College & Career Counselor at Santa Barbara High School. Educational credentials include a Master’s in Educational Counseling from the University of La Verne and a career advising certificate from UC San Diego Extended Studies, among other qualifications.
