Kuo-Chiang Chen

Kuo-Chiang Chen is a highly experienced executive in the energy sector, currently serving as the Chief Strategy and Sustainability Officer at Upwing Energy since June 2024, where responsibilities include formulating and executing corporate strategy focused on profitability and sustainability. Prior roles include Vice President of CO2 and Vice President of Engineering at Energy Recovery, Inc., where Kuo-Chiang led teams to enhance energy efficiency in CO2 applications and developed strategic market approaches for pressure exchanger technology. Kuo-Chiang has also held significant positions at Halliburton, CNPC USA, and Schlumberger, managing technology development and engineering teams across various disciplines. Kuo-Chiang holds a Ph.D. and a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an MBA from Erasmus University Rotterdam.
