Lorina Marshall-Blake

Lorina Marshall-Blake is the current Secretary at URBAN AFFAIRS COALITION. Lorina has extensive experience in government relations and urban affairs, having served as the Vice President of both Government Relations and Urban Affairs at Philadelphia Gas Works from 1980 to 1991, and then as the Vice President of Government Relations at Independence Blue Cross from 1991 to 2011. In their current position, they represent the URBAN AFFAIRS COALITION at numerous external forums, including formal and informal interactions with government officials, other industry representatives, and other key external stakeholders. Lorina also coordinates and conducts lobbying activities to advance the mission of the organization and health care industry.

Lorina Marshall-Blake received an honorary doctorate from Albright College. Lorina was licensed and ordained as a Baptist preacher by Reverend James S. Allen of Vine Memorial Baptist Church. Lorina earned a master's degree in government administration from the University of Pennsylvania, and a bachelor's degree in human services from Antioch University. Lorina also has a diploma in advertising from the Charles Morris Price School of Advertising and Journalism, and a Master of Divinity from Palmer Theological Seminary.
