Alana Lerner

National Director of Curriculum & Instruction at Urban Alliance

Alana Lerner is the Director of Curriculum and Instruction at Urban Alliance. Alana comes to Urban Alliance with over ten years of experience in the education and workforce development fields, with a specialized focus in curriculum and youth development program design. She has a passion for economic justice work that creates pathways of opportunity for young adults.

Alana began her career as a Teach for America corps member, teaching high school science in Phoenix. Since then, she has served as an Academic Director at StreetSquash, an afterschool program in Harlem, and as the Director of Academic Programs and Alumni Support at the Squash and Education Alliance. Before joining Urban Alliance, Alana was an Employment Placement Manager at Year Up in the National Capital Region.

Alana holds a B.A. in Neuroscience from Columbia University and an M.A. in Secondary Education from Arizona State University.
