Oscar Navarrete

Oscar Navarrete has had a long and varied career in the scientific field. Oscar began as a lab research assistant at the Tropical Molecular Biology lab and Inmunopathology & Biotechnology lab in 1995. In 2011, they became a Project Leader and Research Professor at Centro de Investigaciones Biotecnologicas del Ecuador CIBE-ESPOL, where they coordinated various research projects and supervised the implementation of ISO/GLP requirements. Most recently, they have been the Chief Scientist at Urban Crop Solutions since 2015, where they have focused on the development and production of automated indoor farming systems and biological & plant technical research.

Oscar Navarrete attended Ghent University from 2000 to 2011, where they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Plant Biotechnology.
