Heather Lothrop serves as a Supervising Attorney at the Urban Justice Center, a position held since September 2014, and has previously held roles including Senior Staff Attorney, Staff Attorney, and Legal Fellow. Responsibilities include court representation for clients and drafting various legal petitions and motions. Prior to this, Heather gained valuable experience as a Student Attorney at the US Attorneys Office, successfully conducting a trial, and provided legal counsel in the Domestic Violence Clinic at Washington College of Law. Early career internships included positions at the Sexual Assault Legal Institute, Rockland County District Attorney's Office, and Levine & Blit, PLLC, focusing on various aspects of legal research, client intake, and trial preparation. Heather earned a Juris Doctor degree from American University Washington College of Law and holds a Bachelor's degree from Fordham University.
