Sharon Alston

Sharon Alston has over 20 years of experience in human resources. Sharon started their career as a Recruiting Assistant at Garrison & Sisson, Inc. in 1999. Sharon then moved on to work as a Senior Human Resources Generalist at the American Forest & Paper Association from 1999 to 2006, where they provided HR support throughout the employee life cycle, managed compensation and benefit programs, and supported training programs and employee welfare activities. Since 2006, Sharon has been working at Urban One, Inc. as the Senior Vice President of Human Resources, overseeing the HR function for the organization and its subsidiaries. In this role, they serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, aligns HR strategies with organizational goals, and drives organizational success through diversity and inclusion, creative problem-solving, and data-driven approaches.

Sharon Alston holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resource Management from the University of Maryland Global Campus.
