Mike Deriso

Executive Director, Application Development at Urban Science

Mike DeRiso has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Mike began their career at Guidance Technology, Inc. as VP of Product Development in 1989. Mike then moved to Xerox Corporation in 1995, where they served as Program Director, leading the launch of global services in various markets. Mike co-holds a patent in electronic bill presentment and payment. In 2001, they joined MediaSite (now Sonic Foundry) as VP of Enterprise Solutions, overseeing marketing and product management. Mike successfully expanded distribution channels and led various initiatives to enhance the company's web presence and marketing communications. Mike also served as a Board member at Med Graph from 2001 to 2009. In 2002, they joined General Motors as Global Program Manager, responsible for the globalization of applications and the launch of Shanghai OnStar in China. Lastly, they worked at Urban Science as Executive Director of Application Development, leading the design, development, and support of software products globally. Mike successfully transitioned teams to agile/iterative SDLC processes and increased delivery frequency.

Mike DeRiso completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mathematics from Carnegie Mellon University between 1976 and 1980. Mike then pursued further education and earned a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in General Management from Duquesne University from 1982 to 1986.
