Thomas Nickson

Thomas Nickson has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering and data science. Thomas started their career as a Demonstrator in Computer Science at the University of Liverpool in 2008 and worked there until 2012. Then, they joined The University of Edinburgh as a Research Fellow from October 2013 to September 2016. Following that, Thomas worked at QueryClick as a Developer and Data Scientist from September 2016 to March 2018. In this role, they were responsible for developing algorithmic models for attribution and re-targeting in advertising networks and also worked as a full-stack developer for a web scraping application. Currently, Thomas is a Senior Software Engineer and Lead Data Scientist at UrbanTide, a position they have held since March 2018.

Thomas Nickson attended the University of Liverpool from 2005 to 2008, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Computer Science. Following this, they further pursued their education at the same university from 2008 to 2013 and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Computer Science.
