Ellen works closely with Urgo Hotels & Resorts’ senior leadership on management staffing and career development issues. She also handles the overall human resources administration and employee relations for Urgo’s domestic hotels.
Before joining Urgo in 2003, Ellen spent 15 years with Marriott International. Her experience there spanned all Marriott brands, franchise relations, and corporate and executive staff. As director of employment and director of career development for the Residence Inn brand, she managed staffing and succession planning initiatives for the regional operations and sales teams. She spearheaded training programs for senior management and was the brand liaison on many corporate-wide initiatives.
Ellen launched her hospitality career with Residence Inn Company in Wichita, KS, and was part of the transition team when Marriott acquired the Company in 1987. She holds a business management degree from Kansas State University.
