Chris Brinkerhoff is a Health Scientist at the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in the Office of Children’s Health Protection since February 2020. Prior experience includes serving as a Physical Scientist in the EPA's Office of Pollution Prevention and Toxics from April 2014 to February 2020, and as an Oak Ridge Institute (ORISE) Fellow at the National Center for Environmental Assessment from September 2011 to March 2014. Chris also worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Medicine and Dentistry in New Jersey from August 2007 to August 2011, where responsibilities included developing an exposure index for the National Children’s Study and implementing multi-scale pharmacokinetic models. Earlier academic work took place at the University of Michigan from 1999 to 2006, culminating in a PhD in Chemical Engineering, complemented by research and teaching assistantship roles in the same institution. Undergraduate studies were completed at the University of Pennsylvania, earning a BSE in Chemical Engineering.
