Kara Flores

Kara Flores, CRCM, has extensive experience in risk management and operational leadership within the banking industry. Currently serving as Director of Business Risk and Controls at USAA since October 2014, Kara previously held the position of National Director, Risk Mitigation and Supervision Bank/P&C. Prior to USAA, Kara served as Senior Vice President and Director of Deposit Operations at Vantage Bank Texas, N.A., where responsibilities included establishing back-office operations and managing a team across various banking operations. Earlier roles encompassed key leadership positions at Comerica Bank and Citibank, focusing on deposit operations, user experience design, and training development. Kara holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and Management from the University of the Incarnate Word.
