Mirco Speretta's work experience includes roles such as Professor of the Practice at Fairfield University since September 2020. Mirco also worked at UsableNet as a Technology Consultant and later as the Director of Technical Engineering from November 2012 to August 2018. Prior to that, they were the Solution Engineer Team Lead and Senior Product Manager at UsableNet. Mirco Speretta was also a Visiting Professor at Fairfield University from September 2018 to August 2019. Mirco served as an Adjunct Faculty at Fairfield University from September 2015 to December 2017, teaching Computer Graphics and Biomedical Visualization. Mirco worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Arkansas from August 2006 to March 2009. Mirco started their career as a Software Engineer and Developer at Mediastudio s.r.l. in November 2001, where they worked on various projects including integrating interior design applications with smart home devices and designing customer relations management applications. Mirco Speretta also worked as a Web Developer at Tecnoinformatica from February 2000 to October 2000.

Mirco Speretta obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Università degli Studi di Udine, where they attended from 1997 to 2000. Mirco further pursued their education and earned a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from The University of Kansas between 2001 and 2004. Subsequently, Mirco Speretta attended the University of Arkansas, where they completed their doctoral studies in Computer Science, receiving a PhD degree in 2010.
