Effie Simanikas CPA (CA), MBA, NACD.CD has extensive experience in the finance industry. Effie began their career in 1992 with KPMG as an Audit & Consulting Services. In 1996, they joined Progistix Solutions Inc as the Director of Finance. In 1998, they moved to Manulife Financial as the VP & Divisional CFO. In 2002, they joined Canada Life as the VP & Global IT CFO. In 2004, they joined Direct Energy as the VP Corporate HR and VP Finance. In 2011, they joined IAMGOLD Corporation as the VP, Operations Finance & Information Technology. In 2016, they joined Euro Ressources SA as the Director Board of Directors. In 2019, they joined Boto SA as the Director Board of Directors. Currently, they are the EVP & CFO of USA Rare Earth, LLC since 2022.

Effie Simanikas has a long and varied educational history. Effie obtained their Chartered Accountant designation from CPA Ontario in 1995, and their B. Commerce from the University of Toronto in Finance in an unknown year. Effie then went on to obtain their MBA from the Schulich School of Business - York University in an unknown year. In 2007, they obtained their CFO Leadership certification from CPA Ontario. Effie also attended the GE Customer CFO Summit, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology for CIO Leadership Training, and Oxford Brookes University for Centrica General Management Training. In 2018, they attended the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management for their CFO Leadership Program. Effie is currently attending the NACD (National Association of Corporate Directors) for their Corporate Director Certification, and is expected to obtain their NACD Directorship Certification\u00ae from the same institution in July 2022. Effie also holds certifications from CPA Canada and MBA from the Schulich School of Business - York University.
