Shane Dimapanat

Shane Dimapanat is an experienced journalist and researcher currently serving as a Research Assistant at the USC Annenberg Center for Climate Journalism and Communication. Since September 2022, Shane has held the position of Investigations Editor at USC Annenberg Media and also serves as Editor-In-Chief of Capsule Magazine. Additional roles include Multimedia Journalist, Shadow Editor, and Investigative Fellow at The Beacon Project for Annenberg Media. Prior research experience includes time as a Research Assistant at the USC Annenberg Norman Lear Center and the Annenberg Inclusion Initiative. Shane's reporting experience features a competitive project at Malheur Enterprise focusing on child poverty in Malheur County. Other notable roles include Staff Writer at Haute Magazine and Archives Assistant at ONE National Gay and Lesbian Archives. Shane Dimapanat is currently pursuing a degree at the University of Southern California, having completed an International Baccalaureate at Yonkers High School.
