Vanessa Shier

Vanessa Shier is the Director of Talent at Power, a company that provides innovative solutions to the energy sector. Vanessa joined Power in February 2020 after leading the talent team at Clearco, a company that is "by founders, for founders."

At Clearco, Vanessa oversaw the recruitment of world-class talent across the company, including positions in tech, finance, customer success, and sales. In their two years at the company, they hired 265 employees, ranging from co-ops to executives.

Vanessa is passionate about finding and developing top talent. Vanessa is committed to providing a best-in-class candidate and hiring team experience. In their role at Power, they are continuing to build a strong team that can provide innovative solutions to the ever-changing energy sector.

Vanessa Shier has a Bachelor of Public Health (Honours) from Brock University and a Workplace Wellness and Health Promotion Graduate Certificate from Centennial College. Vanessa also has a certification from the HRPA - Human Resources Professionals Association in Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) and is currently working towards a second certification from the HRPA - Human Resources Professionals Association in Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP).
