Ang is also active in promoting diversity and inclusion within their company. Robert founded the queer affinity group at User Interviews and has organized Pride Month programming for two years in a row.

Robert Ang's educational career began with a B.A. in Celtic Studies and Cognitive Science from the University of California, Berkeley. Robert then went on to earn an MSc in Cognitive Science from The University of Edinburgh. Finally, they completed a certification from the State of California in ServSafe.
