Tammy Yung has a diverse work experience. Tammy began their career in 2013 as a Research Assistant at the University of California, Berkeley, where they assisted in studies of family processes and emotional development in Chinese American immigrant families, as well as in designing and preparing a social psychology study. In 2014, they were an Administrative Assistant at Berkeley Therapy Institute and a Research Assistant at Interdisciplinary Center for Healthy Workplaces. In 2015, they were a Research Assistant at Stanford University. From 2016 to 2019, they were a Behavioral Science Researcher at University of California, Merced, a Quantitative Researcher at VGM, and a Data Analyst at AYTM (Ask Your Target Market). In 2021, they became a User Experience Researcher at Hack for LA. Currently, they are a User Experience Research Consultant at Userlytics Corporation, where they perform UX research and usability testing for websites/prototype to learn more about users' preferences and experience, and develops and conducts studies by using both qualitative and quantitative methods.

Tammy Yung has a diverse educational background. Tammy obtained an Associate's Degree in Economics from Diablo Valley College between 2011 and 2013. Tammy then went on to receive a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from University of California, Berkeley between 2013 and 2015. Subsequently, they obtained a Master of Arts in Psychological Science from University of California, Merced in 2020 and a Doctor of Philosophy in Psychological Science from the same university in 2021. Additionally, they have obtained three certifications, namely, UX Foundations: Research from LinkedIn in 2021, Python Data Structures from Coursera in 2019, and Programming for Everybody (Getting Started with Python) from Coursera in 2018.
