Klaus Melchior

Klaus Melchior is the current Chief Financial Officer at Sonar. Prior to this, they worked at NOVASOL AS from April 2009 to May 2019, where they held the title of Group CFO and Executive Director.

At Novasol, Melchior was responsible for overseeing the finance organization with over 50 associates. Klaus was also in charge of all financial activities such as financial reporting, audit, compliance, allocation of capital, forecasting, analytics, and M&A. As a member of the group executive team, Melchior played a strategic role with a strong focus on the business and communication of performance both internally and to the US shareholder.

During their time at Novasol, Melchior helped orchestrate the sale of the Novasol Group with advisors from Goldman Sachs and Deutsche Bank. Klaus also gave management presentations to potential buyers and held separate financial model sessions with the modeling teams. Furthermore, they oversaw the digital transformation of Novasol and was responsible for the financial management of the company's E-commerce initiative.

Some of Melchior's notable achievements include successfully executing a growth strategy (net revenue CAGR of 19.8% in FY15-17) and increasing revenue by 15% in 2017 and 14% in 2018. Klaus also introduced a finance business partner program and helped roll out a US compliance program as part of a public corporation listed on NYSE.

Klaus Melchior has a Bachelor's degree in Business/Commerce, General from Aabenraa, and an M.sc in business administration from Aarhus University. Klaus also has a HH in Business/Managerial Economics from Købmandsskolen i aabenraa.

Their manager is Casper Henningsen, CEO. Klaus Melchior works with Jökull Snæbjarnarson - Chief Technology Officer, Jakob Kalkar - Chief Product Officer, and Kristine Andersen - Chief Revenue Officer.
