Roald Harvey

Roald Harvey is the current Head of People at Swyft. Prior to this, they served as Head of People Operations at BenchSci from March 2019 to January 2022. In this role, they scaled the organization from 43 to 200+ employees and established best-in-class onboarding experience, career paths, people manager training programs, and a company-wide retreat. Roald also designed and implemented innovative people operations policies to support employee growth, retention, and build high-performing teams.

Before joining BenchSci, Roald served as Senior Human Resources Manager at Top Hat from October 2018 to February 2019. In this role, they were responsible for all aspects of human resources for the organization, including recruitment, onboarding, benefits, employee relations, and compliance.

Roald has a proven track record of success in building engaging cultures and implementing foundational HR programs and systems. Roald is passionate about helping organizations grow and develop their people in order to achieve their business goals.

Roald Harvey has a masters in business administration with a specialization in human resources from Brock University. Roald also has a specialist degree in psychology from the University of Toronto. In addition, they have two certifications from Essential Impact - one in coaching for results (36-hour) and one in coaching for results (24-hour). Finally, they have a certification from the HRPA - Human Resources Professionals Association in CHRL.

Roald Harvey reports to Aadil Kazmi, CEO & Co-Founder. They work with Bhaskar Murthy - Head of Engineering, Amy Churchill - Head of Finance, and Alicia Chung - Director, Product Management.
