Jordan Jackson has over twelve years of work experience in the Information Technology field. Jordan began their career in 2007 as a Network/Hardware Tech at the Texas Legislative Council where they were responsible for network configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting from the physical level to client side implementation. In 2009, they moved to Boon-Chapman as a Systems Administrator. From 2013 to 2016, they worked as a Systems Engineer at Travis County where they managed the data center and environment including virtualization, devices, servers, server applications, and network configuration. In 2016, they joined KingsIsle Entertainment as a Senior Systems Administrator and was responsible for private cloud architect, full design/management of data center and environment, Windows Server 2012R2/2008R2 multi-site AD environment, and Cisco ASA 5525 firewalls with paired failover. In 2017, they were appointed as an Information Technology Manager and Senior Network Administrator at uShip.
Jordan Jackson has a long and varied educational history. Jordan obtained their A+ certification from CompTIA in July 2001. Jordan then attended The University of Texas at Austin from 2002 to 2008, earning a degree in History with a focus in Computer Science and Business. Jordan obtained their Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician (CCENT) and Cisco Certified Network Associate Routing and Switching (CCNA) certifications in July 2002. Jordan obtained their Cisco Certified Network Associate Security (CCNA) certification in July 2012, their Cisco Certified Network Associate Wireless (CCNA-W) certification in July 2015, their Cisco Certified Design Associate (CCDA) certification in July 2018, and their Amazon Web Services Solutions Architect Associate certification in December 2018. Finally, they obtained their Certified Linux Administrator (LPIC-1) certification in July 2019.
