The Head of Industry,  Insurance and Financial Services, will be a key driver in shaping and executing marketing strategies that elevate the Ushur brand and drive growth in these target verticals. This role demands a strategic thinker with deep industry knowledge, strong leadership skills, and a passion for technology and innovation. The ideal candidate will collaborate cross-functionally, and leverage market insights to craft compelling value propositions and go-to-market strategies.They will play a key role in formulating Ushur’s Go-to-Market strategy, providing key insights into market dynamics and vertical expertise in insurance/finserv processes, products, systems, and priorities to guide our platform, sales, marketing, and customer expansion strategies. The ideal candidate will be highly collaborative, able to both think strategically and drive out the details. They must be adept in both written and verbal communication, confident to engage with global industry leaders. Continuous learning, flexibility, and initiative are key to success as a member of our industry team. This role will report into the Global Head of Industry Groups.

Responsibilities

  • Go-to-Market Strategy and Execution Planning:

  • Develop highly granular Ideal Customer Profiles (ICPs) and use case-focused solutions for the target markets.

  • Collaborate with product, marketing, sales, and customer success teams to ensure alignment, enablement and successful execution of go-to-market campaigns. Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies tailored to the insurance and financial services sectors.

  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities and inform strategic decisions.

  • Set clear goals and performance metrics to measure the success of vertical

  • Industry Expertise:

  • Serve as the industry subject matter expert, understanding and sharing the nuances and challenges of the insurance and financial services sectors.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies to ensure marketing and sales strategies are current and relevant.

  • Act as an Ushur brand ambassador through meaningful interactions  with industry, including through social media, events, conferences, and other public speaking opportunities.

  • Assist the Sales team in identifying meaningful use cases for target accounts, contributing to presentation collateral, providing insight into the buyer’s point of view, and participating in prospect meetings.

  • Contribute to the Customer Success team’s focus on growth with our customers by identifying and presenting use case expansion opportunities.

  • Assist our Solution Consulting team to design high-volume platform demonstrations for buyers and influencers.

  • Content Development:

  • Closely collaborate with product marketing, demand generation, brand and creative teams in the creation of high-quality, engaging content including case studies, whitepapers, blog posts, and thought leadership articles.

  • Ensure content effectively communicates the value of our solutions and addresses industry pain points. Provide feedback to the Marketing team on marketing campaigns and plans for written and  multi-media collateral, along with authoring blogs and contributing to our hosted and field events.

  • Product and Platform Enhancements:

  • Work with the Product team to identify new platform capabilities with strong product potential for target verticals, building out functional process flows and creating buyer and user personas.

  • Support the Engineering team in their creation of new features, including guidance on credible data sources for AI and model enhancements.

  • Contribute to the industry team’s creation of standard work and scalable processes.

  • Provide regular reports and insights to senior leadership on effectiveness and industry trends.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in insurance carrier and/or financial services technology providers with demonstrated expertise and career growth in business operations, business systems, and/or customer-facing roles.
  • Proven ability to translate industry-specific business needs, pain points and personae preferences into clearly-defined ideal customer profiles (ICP). Defining, documenting and enabling teams on insurance/finserv ICPs is a big part of this role and experience in this area is a big plus.
  • Possesses a deep understanding of how technology is leveraged both within insurance/finserv companies and how they interact with their customers, members, partners and other key stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of regulatory and compliance drivers within the insurance/finserv arena on a global scale.
  • Knowledge and expertise in  how insurance/finserv companies select technology and vendors is a big plus and an important responsibility of this role.
  • Has a strong background in enterprise process improvement and redesign, especially as it relates to highly regulated industries.
  • Proven ability to translate complex ideas into usable business concepts.
  • Audience appropriate communication and presentation skills.
