Shawna Embrey

Shawna Embrey has a strong background in regulatory affairs, with experience in various leadership roles. Shawna is currently serving as the Vice President of Compendial Operations at US Pharmacopeia, where they have been since 2020. Prior to this, they worked as Vice President of Regulatory Affairs at Hazel Technologies, Inc from 2019 to 2020. Shawna also worked as the Global Regulatory Manager at Valent BioSciences from 2017 to 2019, where they executed global regulatory strategies for agricultural products. Shawna has extensive experience at Dow AgroSciences, where they held multiple roles from 2000 to 2017. These roles included Biochemistry Functional Leader, Senior Biochemist, and Research Associate, among others. Shawna'swork at Dow focused on regulatory compliance and product development in the biotech and agroscience industries.

Shawna Embrey obtained a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Indianapolis. Shawna also completed a Master of Science in Law from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law. Additionally, Shawna pursued a Master of Science in Management, Strategy, and Leadership from Michigan State University - Eli Broad College of Business.
