Harold Boyles is an experienced healthcare professional with a robust background in public health and nursing. Currently serving as the Deputy Chief of the Research Branch at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention since January 2014, Harold has also held the position of Nurse Consultant-Supervisor within the Commissioned Corps of the U.S. Public Health Service since February 2003, where the rank of Captain (O-6) is held. Prior experience includes serving as Complex Health Services Administrator for the Federal Bureau of Prisons from July 2002 to January 2014 and as a Medic in the United States Army National Guard from 1999 to 2001. Harold began a career in healthcare with the US Navy as a Hospital Corpsman from August 1993 to August 1999. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Alderson Broaddus University and a Master's Degree in Health Care Administration from Independence University, in addition to education from Lakeview High School and The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences.
