Justin Tafoya serves as the Chief Nurse Executive at the Commissioned Corps of the U.S. Public Health Service since January 2011, overseeing nursing care and services across various specialties while ensuring compliance with accreditation standards. Prior roles include Director of Clinical Informatics and Nurse Educator, where responsibilities included staff development and competency compliance. A former Public Health Nurse and Epidemiology Program Manager, Justin has a strong background in communicable disease prevention and health education. Previously, experience at the Indian Health Service includes roles as an Emergency Nurse Specialist and Medical Surgical Nurse. Justin holds a Leadership & Management Certificate from Harvard Business School Online, a Master of Science in Nursing with a focus on Healthcare Informatics from Grand Canyon University, and an Associate of Science in Registered Nursing from Northland Pioneer College.
