Curtis Duncan

Curtis Duncan, BSN, RN, NE-BC has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Curtis started their career in 2004 as a Med/Surg Charge Nurse at Trinity Mother Frances Health System, where they worked until 2006. From 2006 to 2011, they served as an ICU Charge Nurse at Titus Regional Medical Center. In 2010, they also took on the role of Instructor at the American Heart Association | American Stroke Association.

In 2010, Curtis joined East Texas Medical Center Pittsburg as a PICC nurse, a position they held until 2023. Curtis also worked at UT Health East Texas, starting in 2018, where they held the role of Director of Medical/Surgical and Infusion Services.

In addition to their healthcare experience, Curtis briefly worked at Thrivent Financial as an Associate Financial Representative from 2016 to 2018.

Currently, Curtis is working at Northeast Texas Community College as an Adjunct Instructor for LVN/LPN Clinical Skills.

Curtis Duncan, BSN, RN, NE-BC, holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from The University of Texas at Arlington, which was completed in 2020. Prior to that, they obtained an Associate of Applied Science, Associate of Science, and Associate of Arts in various fields from Northeast Texas Community College between 2000 and 2003. Curtis completed their high school education at Jourdanton High School in 1996, earning a High School Diploma. Curtis is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler (UT Health), with an expected completion date in 2023. In terms of certifications, Curtis has obtained a Certified Nurse Executive certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center and has completed several online courses related to healthcare management and leadership on platforms like LinkedIn and CITI Program.
