Bridgett Piernik-Yoder

Bridgett Piernik-Yoder, PhD, OTR, FAOTA, serves as the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Chair of the Department of Occupational Therapy at UT Health San Antonio, where responsibilities include leading an academic department of faculty and 150 entry-level OTD students. With a focus on teaching various courses related to research, clinical medicine, and occupational justice, Bridgett is also actively involved in curriculum development and student advisement. Previous experience includes roles as Product Line Manager and Research Director at Harcourt Assessment, overseeing the development and implementation of clinical assessments, and Director of Clinical Program Development and Occupational Therapist at HEALTHSOUTH RIOSA, specializing in adult neurorehabilitation. Educational achievements include a PhD in Education from Texas A&M University, a BS in Occupational Therapy from UT Health San Antonio, and a MA in Education from The University of Texas at San Antonio.
