Michael Wedemeyer

Michael Wedemeyer is a dedicated researcher currently engaged in the NIH T32 Postdoctoral Fellowship in Addiction Research at UT Health San Antonio since July 2020. Prior to this, Michael completed a Doctor of Philosophy in Biochemistry at the Medical College of Wisconsin, where significant contributions included a senior design project and a published manuscript on pectin-oligochitosan hydrogels. Michael's academic journey also includes a Bachelor of Science in BioMolecular Engineering from the Milwaukee School of Engineering. Earlier work experience encompasses various roles, including part-time positions in custodial work, research assistance in colonic drug delivery systems, factory work at Progressive Converting Inc., and customer service at Shopko.
