Marilyn Cuch has a diverse work experience that spans over several years. Marilyn began their career as an Instructor and Advisor at Haskell Indian Nations University in 1999, where they worked until 2005. Following this, Marilyn worked as a Grant Director at Utah State University in 2005. Marilyn then served as the Education Director at the Ute Indian Tribe Uintah and Ouray Reservation from 2006 to 2007, where they were responsible for managing the Education Department's budget and overseeing 30 employees. Marilyn returned to Utah State University in 2007 and held various roles including Lecturer, Advisor, and Director. Currently, they hold the positions of Senior Lecturer and Director of the Undergraduate Secondary Education Program.

Marilyn Cuch holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Curriculum and Instruction, which they obtained from Kansas State University between 1995 and 1997. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Secondary Education and Teaching from the same university between 1991 and 1995. Marilyn has also obtained several certifications, including a Certificate in Effective Instruction, Designing Student-Centered Courses, Creating an Inclusive and Supportive Online Learning Environment, Inspiring Inquiry and Lifelong Learning in Your Online Course, and Promoting Active Learning Online, all from ACUE (Association of College and University Educators). Additionally, they hold an AAQEP certification from AAQEP.
