Sam Johnson is a highly experienced agricultural professional with a strong background in agronomy and crop science. Currently serving as the Research Farm Manager and Graduate Researcher at Utah State University since March 2017, Sam focuses on developing new tree crop lines, particularly apple root stocks for soil salinity tolerance. Previous roles include managing research trials as an Undergraduate Research Assistant and overseeing facilities as Facilities Manager at Cache Valley Cabinets & Tops. Sam also contributed as Lead Farm Hand at Johnson Family Farm and Manufacturing, which specialized in local organic produce, and completed an Agronomy Internship at Deseret Farms of California, concentrating on irrigation and orchard development. Sam holds a Master's degree in Plant Science with a focus on Agronomy and Crop Science and a Bachelor's degree in the same field from Utah State University.
