Emerging Technologies Manager at Utah Jazz

Riley Demps is the Emerging Technologies Manager at Utah Jazz. Previously, they were at Lenovo as a Device + Solutions Research Intern from June 2020 to April 2021. There, they worked closely with a team of 23 at Motorola to research and create new interfaces for larger devices, such as the Motorola Razr & Samsung Galaxy Fold. Riley attended the “Grow Lenovo” program, becoming certified in multiple software program platforms, such as Amazon Web Services & Python. Riley reported to the Engineering Director & Principal Researcher of Motorola. During their time at Lenovo, they designed/built/tested a successful “Test Mule” for Motorola’s next generation smartphone. This project was projected to sell >1M units in 2023. Additionally, they identified/selected/negotiated with 4 overseas suppliers for parts, ensuring best quality/best price.

Riley Demps has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from NYU Tandon School of Engineering.

Riley Demps works with Greg Tanner - SVP, Partner Success & Experience, Frank Zang - Senior Vice President, Communications, and Mckinley Follett - Executive Assistant to the President. Riley Demps reports to Jim Olson, President, Utah Jazz & Vivint Arena.
