Steven Barry serves as Vice President and Director of Planning and Operational Analysis for the Utica National Insurance Group.
Mr. Barry joined Utica National in 1986 as a Research Analyst. Throughout his tenure with the company, Mr. Barry has held increasingly responsible positions within the Planning and Research department, including Senior Research Analyst and Supervising Research Analyst.
He was promoted to Director of Research in 1997 and named an officer of the company, as Assistant Secretary, the same year. Mr. Barry assumed his current post as Director of Planning and Operational Analysis in 2000 and was appointed Assistant Vice President in 2004 and Vice President in 2011.
A graduate of the University of Bridgeport with a Bachelor of Science degree in Banking and Finance, Mr. Barry has completed course work at the University of Connecticut toward a Master's degree in Business Administration. He also holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and Associate in Research and Planning (ARP) professional designations.
Mr. Barry is a past member of CPCU Society's Utica Chapter. He also served on the Utica Mutual Federal Credit Union's Board of Directors for over twenty years, with his last roll as Vice President.
Current role
