Preston Broadfoot

Preston Broadfoot has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Preston is currently the Director of Research Integrity and Export Compliance at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. Prior to that, they were the Managing Partner at 4Elemental LLC. Preston also worked at The University of Texas System in multiple capacities, including Assistant Director of Client Services, IT Project and Contract Manager, Research Computing Program Manager, Director of Communications for The University of Texas Research Cyberinfrastructure, and Senior Developer and Strategist for the Office of External Relations. Before joining The University of Texas System, Preston was the Director of Design and Development at Raconteur Media Company / Quicksilver IS / The Patriot Group. Preston began their career as a Senior Web Manager at the Office of the Governor.

Preston Broadfoot holds a Doctor of Law (JD) degree from The University of Texas School of Law, which they obtained from 2007 to 2009. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Business Administration, Information Systems, and Finance at the University of Colorado Boulder from 1997 to 2002. Along with their academic qualifications, Preston also obtained additional certifications, including being an Export Compliance Professional - EAR/ITAR (ECoP) from the Export Compliance Training Institute (ECTI) in December 2023 and a Certified Texas Contract Manager from the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts in July 2017.
