Phil Bull

Phil Bull is a Reader in Cosmology at The University of Manchester, where responsibilities include overseeing an ERC Starting Grant from 2021 to 2025. Additionally, Phil serves as a Visiting Academic and Senior Researcher at the University of the Western Cape since 2019. Prior experience includes roles as a Reader and Lecturer in Cosmology at Queen Mary University of London, where Phil directed the Physics with Data Science BSc/MSci programme and contributed to the Institute for Applied Data Science. Previous positions also encompass a BCCP/RAL Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of California, Berkeley, a NASA Postdoctoral Program Fellowship at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, and a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Oslo. Phil earned a DPhil in Astrophysics from the University of Oxford and an MPhys in Physics with Astrophysics from The University of Manchester.
