Joshua Depiver, PhD, FHEA has a diverse work experience in data strategy, governance, and management. Joshua currently works as a Senior Specialist in Data Strategy & Governance at Valcon, where they are responsible for developing and implementing data governance policies and procedures. Prior to that, they worked at Close Brothers as a Manager in Data Management, where they established and enforced data governance frameworks and collaborated with stakeholders to enhance data quality and compliance. Before that, they were a Data Management Analyst at Stericycle, where they analyzed and managed data. Joshua also worked as a Loss Prevention Specialist at Apple (Squad Security UK Ltd) and had responsibilities related to security and loss prevention.

Joshua Depiver holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Engineering from the University of Derby. Joshua also has a Master of Science (MS) degree (First Class) from the University of Greenwich and a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree (Hons) from the same institution. Joshua further earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree (Hons) with a 2.1 grade from the University of West London. Additionally, Joshua obtained a Higher National Diploma from Yaba College of Technology in Lagos, Nigeria.

Joshua has pursued continuous professional development and obtained various certifications. Notably, Joshua is a Certified Data Management Professional (CMPD) Practitioner from DAMA International. Joshua is also a Fellow of the Higher Education Authority (FHEA) awarded by Advance HE. Furthermore, they have acquired certifications such as Collibra Data Steward, Collibra Data Governance Lead, Collibra Workflow Engineer, Data Governance Lounge (from Informatica), and MDM Implementation (from Informatica). Joshua has also completed training in PRINCE2® Foundation and Practitioner Certification, The Fundamentals of DataOps (from DataKitchen), and GDPR Data Protection Officer (DPO) Skills (from the University of Derby).
