Arup Dey

Arup Dey, PhD, currently serves as an Assistant Professor at Valdosta State University, a position held since August 2024. Previously, Arup Dey held the same title at Navajo Technical University from September 2022 to August 2024, and worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Instructor at North Dakota State University from August 2018 to August 2022. Arup Dey's industry experience includes a role as an Executive in the IE & Planning Department at Saiham Knit Composite Ltd., where responsibilities encompassed industrial engineering tasks such as time study, motion study, line balancing, bottleneck analysis, inventory management, and planning. Academically, Arup Dey earned a PhD in Optimization, Machine Learning, Uncertainty Analysis, and Additive Manufacturing from North Dakota State University between 2018 and 2022, a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology from 2014 to 2018, and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Shahjalal University of Science and Technology from 2009 to 2013.
