Amber Hudspeth

Data Scientist at Valisure

Amber Hudspeth has held various roles in the fields of data science, software engineering, research, and teaching. Amber began their career in 2011 as an Adjunct Instructor of Physics at the University of Montana, where they designed curriculum for Physics I and II courses and accompanying laboratory classes, lectured daily to classes of 80-120 students, performed regular demonstrations of physics, designed unique exam questions, maintained a course website, and did all grading. In 2015, they began a Research Fellow position at Yale University, where they used conductive atomic force microscopy to measure and model magnetic and temperature dependence of electron transfer in naturally occurring biological nanowires, and modeled high resolution protein crystal structures to investigate steric interactions of amino acids. In 2016, they held a Visiting Research Fellow position at the Yale School of Engineering & Applied Science. In 2018, they began working at Valisure, where they have held roles as both a Data Scientist and a Software Engineer.

Amber Hudspeth has a Master of Science in Physics from Yale University, which they obtained between 2015 and 2017. Amber also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Physics and a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Mathematics from the University of Montana, which they obtained between 2005 and 2010. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications from institutions such as LinkedIn, Vector Solutions, and HIPAATraining.com since 2019.
