Charlie Burgoyne

Charlie Burgoyne has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Charlie is the Founder & CEO of Valkyrie since May 2017. Charlie also worked as a Technology Advisor - Artificial Intelligence at USSOCOM, where they provided guidance on applying machine learning and scientific applications to support warfighters. Charlie is a Member & Contributor at Forbes Technology Council starting from January 2021. Charlie currently serves as a Scientific Advisor at Lonestar Data Holdings Inc. since June 2022. Additionally, they are the Co-Founder and Chief Science Officer at Frontier Marketplaces, where they aim to democratize access to capital with a tech-driven platform. Charlie has also contributed to the field as a Mentor for Artificial Intelligence & Applied Sciences at Capital Factory since October 2016. Furthermore, they held leadership positions such as Principal Director of Data Science at frog from June 2015 to October 2017 and Director of Engineering, Data Science at Rosetta Stone from September 2014 to July 2015. Before that, Charlie served as the Vice President of Research and Development at Mach 1 Development, Inc. from March 2012 to August 2014. Charlie started their career as a Nuclear Physicist at the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) from June 2008 to November 2010.

Charlie Burgoyne obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Astrophysics from The George Washington University, where they studied from 2006 to 2009. Charlie then pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Theoretical Physics at Georgetown University, completing their studies from 2010 to 2012.
