Amanpreet Brar has extensive experience in the food industry, with a focus on quality assurance and food safety. Amanpreet began their career as a Research Assistant at UC Davis, where they conducted lab safety training and researched the behavior of foodborne pathogens. Amanpreet then worked as a Quality Assurance Supervisor at Wilbur Packing Company Inc., where they set up an internal quality assurance lab and conducted audits to meet regulatory requirements. Amanpreet later joined Nestlé as a Plant Hygienist, responsible for skills development and pest control programs. Amanpreet then moved on to PGP International, where they served as a Quality Assurance Supervisor, implementing Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing methodologies to improve the quality program. Amanpreet continued their career at The Hershey Company as a Corporate Sr. Staff Quality and Regulatory Compliance member, managing food safety and quality assurance activities. Amanpreet also worked at gFoodSafety as President, providing guidance and developing quality assurance and food safety programs for food processing companies. Amanpreet's experience includes a role as Corporate Head of Quality Assurance at Raleys, where they managed a team and ensured quality and consumer safety. Amanpreet subsequently joined Revolution Foods as the Sr. Director of Food Safety & Quality Assurance, revamping systems to support the school meals and CPG business. Most recently, Amanpreet worked at Alchemy20.com as the Principal Consultant/Managing Director, offering expert knowledge in the food and beverage industry. Amanpreet is currently employed as the Vice President of Quality Assurance at Valley Fine Foods, implementing strategic initiatives for improved food safety and quality using artificial intelligence technologies.
Amanpreet Brar completed a Master of Science degree in Food Science with a specialization in Food Microbiology from the University of California, Davis. This educational achievement lasted from 2003 to 2005. Prior to that, Amanpreet Brar pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Food Science and Technology from Guru Nanak Dev University, which was completed between 1999 and 2003. In addition to these academic qualifications, Amanpreet Brar obtained a certification as an FSPCA (Food Safety and Preventive Controls Rule Alliance) Lead Instructor from the Food Safety and Preventive Controls Rule Alliance in March 2016.
