Elizabeth Savage

Chief Human Resources Officer at Valley Health System

Elizabeth (Liz) Savage, senior vice president/chief human resource officer (CHRO) and vice president of community health and wellness, came to Valley Health in 2010, and serves on the health system’s executive management team.

She has more than 25 years of experience in human resources and organizational development at for-profit and not-for-profit organizations. Prior to joining Valley Health, Savage served the healthcare community as senior vice president, Human Resources, at Bon Secours Charity Health System in the Hudson Valley region of New York. Prior to that, she led workplace improvement efforts at GE Capital, Norbert Technologies, and Hyperion Software.

Savage received her Master of Science in organization development from American University/National Training Laboratory in Washington, D.C., and her undergraduate degree in business administration from the State University of New York at Albany. In addition, she has earned Lean and Myers-Briggs Type Indicator certifications. She is a member of the Society of Human Resource Management and American Society for Healthcare Human Resource Administration. She serves on the Discovery Museum Board in Winchester, and actively works in the community to develop career paths into healthcare.
