Petra Pesendorfer

Petra Pesendorfer currently serves as Chief People Officer at Valneva since January 2024. Prior to this role, Petra held various senior HR positions at ams OSRAM from February 2016 to January 2024, including Vice President HR and Global HR BU Head, overseeing HR for the CMOS Sensors and ASICS Business Unit, among other functions. At Rentokil Initial, from September 2012 to January 2016, Petra was Regional HR Head for multiple countries, responsible for all HR matters for approximately 1,000 employees. Petra's early experience includes serving as Head of Human Resources at Soravia Group from October 2006 to August 2012, where Petra managed HR and payroll for 200 employees and developed HR processes and policies. Petra also completed internships in finance and commodity trading while pursuing education, earning an MBA in International Management & Communications from FHWien University of Applied Sciences Vienna and the University of Texas, Brownsville, between 2011 and 2013.
