Darlene McCarty Cohn

Darlene McCarty Cohn has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Darlene is currently the Director of Paid and Digital Media at Valparaiso University. Prior to this, they served as the Communications Director at Parkdale Center for Professionals, where they focused on promoting the center's substance use treatment program. As the Founder of D. Cohn Communications, they specialized in online marketing strategy and offered a range of digital marketing services. Darlene also worked as the Communications Director for Porter County Parks and Recreation, managing all internal and external communications and revamping the marketing strategy. Earlier in their career, McCarty Cohn was a Composition professor at Purdue University Northwest, teaching and assisting in curriculum development. Darlene also worked as a freelance copywriter and a reporter at the Post-Tribune. Before that, they served as an English Teacher at Lindbergh Schools, teaching literature and composition.

Darlene McCarty Cohn holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language and Literature/Letters from Binghamton University, which they obtained from 1993 to 1994. Darlene later pursued a Master of Arts degree in English Language and Literature and Secondary Education and Teaching from the same university, completing it from 1996 to 1998.
