Markku Stenborg

Markku Stenborg is a distinguished professional with extensive experience in economics and finance. Currently, Markku serves as a Member of the Board at the University of Vaasa and as President of the Productivity Board. In addition, Markku holds the position of Finanssineuvos and Senior Advisor at the Ministry of Finance of Finland. As the Proprietor and Consultant at Competition Economics, Markku specializes in providing solutions for competition, antitrust, and regulatory issues. Markku's previous roles include Visiting Scientist at the Bank of Finland and the Helsinki Institute for Information Technology HIIT, Senior Researcher at ETLA, and Senior Manager at KPMG Transaction Service. Markku has also served as a Senior Officer at the Finnish Competition Authority and as an Acting Professor at the Turku School of Economics. Markku Stenborg earned a PhD in Economics from Penn State University between 1989 and 1993.
