Egbert Pit

Egbert Pit currently serves as the Information Security Manager for operational technology at Van Oord since October 2022. Prior experience includes a tenure at Van Oord Ship Management bv from September 2006 to October 2022 as a Senior Technical Superintendent (Electro), where responsibilities involved supervising docking and repairs on electrical and automation equipment and aiding in the establishment of a Shore Support Center. Egbert also worked on the Teesside Windfarm Project as a Senior Technical Superintendent (Electro), contributing to the installation of turbines and power cables. Earlier roles included being an Allround Ships Electronic Engineer and Ship Electrician at Van Oord from June 1997 to September 2006, and a Team Leader in the electro and hydraulics division at Betonwerk Rösel from October 1995 to June 1997. Education includes various qualifications in high and low voltage installation and programming, along with safety training for offshore operations.
