Patrick O'Neill

Patrick O'Neill is an experienced maritime professional with a strong background in dynamic positioning operations. Currently serving as Chief Officer DPO at Van Oord since August 2022, Patrick previously held the position of 2nd Officer DPO at Jan De Nul Group and also worked as a 3rd Mate/DPO at Allseas, where responsibilities included pipeline laying and ROV tasks. Earlier experience includes serving as 2nd Officer DPO at Bibby Shipping, focusing on navigation safety for vessels in the North Sea, and completing a Deck Cadet program with Solstad Offshore UK while pursuing a Professional Diploma in Marine Operations and Nautical Science at City of Glasgow College.
